Competition Terms and Conditions
- Prizes are non refundable, non returnable and non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.
- Open to ages 18 years old and above.
- Winner may be asked to provide contact details to Riverside Shopping Centre to facilitate prize.
- Prize may require collection from Riverside Shopping Centre
- In certain competitions the judges decision is final.
- Winner must claim their prize within 5 days from comment on their post
- Winner if required must collect prize/prizes within 2 weeks of comment on their post
- Riverside Shopping Centre reserves the right to change the dates of any competition.
- Competitions are not open to employees of Riverside Shopping Centre and the prize sponsor company, or to members of their families.
- Following each competition, Riverside will notify the winner by commenting on winners comment.
- Riverside Shopping Centre may cancel any competition at any time.
- Any photo competitions that are run, you confirm that you are the owner of the copyright and any similar right in any such photographs.
- Riverside Shopping Centre social media competitions are available to entrants in mainland United Kingdom only.
- By accepting these terms and in consideration of your registration and use of the Site you hereby allow Riverside Shopping Centre a licence to use the photographs for all purposes in all media throughout the world for the full period of the copyright and any similar right.
- Only one entry per person unless otherwise specified.
- Please note where stated our giveaways require collection from centre management on site here at Riverside Shopping Centre.
- You are responsible for the cost (if any) of sending your competition entry to us.
- Riverside Shopping Centre reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, any competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud).
- The decision of Riverside Shopping Centre in all matters under its control is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
- If a
question is asked about who you would share a prize with, it is the
responsibility of the person who wrote the name to provide the prize to the
family member/friend, not the shopping centre.

Run Through Giveaway Terms and Conditions 2025
These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or
inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or
promotional materials. Entry instructions are deemed to form part of these
Terms and Conditions and by participating all participants will be deemed to
have accepted and be bound by them. Participants should retain a copy for their
information.
The Promoter takes data protection seriously. By entering this
promotion, participants confirm that they have read the Promoter’s Privacy
Policy and agree to these Terms and Conditions of the promotion. By submitting
any information required as part of their participation into the campaign,
participants agree to their information being held and processed in accordance
with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act
2018.
Promoter/’We’: Riverside Shopping Centre
1. Open to UK, CI, IoM
& ROI residents aged 18 or over, excluding employees of Riverside Shopping
Centre and their immediate families, its agents or anyone else professionally
connected with the promotion.
2. Only one entry per
person via the promotional social media pages throughout the duration of the
promotion. The Promoter reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify
any individual found to be attempting to circumvent this clause by tampering with
the operation of the promotion, setting up multiple accounts, using multiple
identities or to be acting in any manner deemed by the Promoter to be in
violation of the Terms and Conditions; or to be acting in any manner deemed by
the Promoter to be disruptive. Participants may enter via the official
participating social media pages only.
Maximum one entry per person will be included in the prize draw.
3. No purchase
necessary.
4. Maximum one (1)
entry per person during the promotional period regardless of the number of
posts made during the promotional period.
5. There is one prize
available to be won consisting of:

notification to acceptance will be within a relatively short timeframe so
participants are encouraged to check their account regularly. The winner will
be subject to a questionnaire to ensure they are suitable from a health
perspective to take part in the event.
Due to operational logistics the timings associated with the winning
redemption process[1] and protocols are extremely tight.

No cash or other alternative will be available in lieu of the stated
prizes except in the event of circumstances beyond its control, the Promoters
reserves the right to offer an alternative prize, in whole or part, of equal or
greater value.
HOW TO ENTER:
• Participants will
require an Instagram or Facebook account to enter and must ensure that their
entries are set to ‘Public’. Participants who do not already have an Instagram
or Facebook account may open one at www.instagram.com or www.facebook.com by following the instructions and reading the
relevant terms and conditions.
• Participants
may enter via the participating social media pages by commenting on one of the
original promotion posts with their response to the question posed. Entrants
must ensure their account is set to ‘Public’ to allow their entry to be
included in the prize draw. The winner will be the first qualifying entry drawn
at random from all valid entries made via one of the participating platforms by
23:59 on 14.03.25. All entries will be
pooled into one central prize draw regardless of platform used to enter for a
chance to win the available prize. The winner will be announced under their
original entry within two (2) standard working days and will be required to
respond via direct message to confirm acceptance of the prize within five (5)
days. Inaccurate contact information may result in the prize being forfeited.
In the event that a winner does not respond, the prize entitlement may be
withdrawn, and the prize awarded to a reserve winner drawn at the same time as
the original winner.
• By participating
entrants understand and agree to their comments being publicly displayed on the
official participating social media pages.
Such entries may be attributed to the original entrant using their name
as provided with their entry, or as shown on their social media account.
• Comments must not
infringe the copyright or other intellectual property rights of any third
party. The Promoter reserves the right to remove any comments it deems to be:
i. Violent, negative or/and
discriminative of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age
group, or be profane or obscene;
ii. Promote or be about the use of illegal drugs, tobacco,
firearms/weapons, any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous, or any
particular political agenda or message;
iii. Be offensive or be about hate;
iv. Defame, misrepresent or contain negative remarks about the
Promoter or its products, other people, products or companies;
v. Contain trademarks owned by others or advertise or promote any
brand or product of any kind, without permission;
vi. Contain copyrighted
materials owned by others (including photographs, sculptures, paintings and
other works of art or images published on or in websites, television, movies or
other media or musical "samples") without permission;
vii. Contain materials
embodying the names, likenesses, photographs, or other indicia identifying any
person, living or dead, other than the participant, without permission;
viii. Communicate messages or images inconsistent with the positive
images and/or goodwill to which the Promoter wishes to associate;
ix. Depict, and cannot itself be in, violation of any law.
6. The
Promoter reserves the right at its sole and absolute discretion to immediately
and permanently remove any comments or posts on its official social media pages
that it deems to be distasteful, degrading or will in any way cause offence. Comments should not mention or tag another
person except where the entrant has obtained express permission to publicly
share that person’s social media name. [3] All
entries must conform to Instagram and/or Facebook guidelines and terms and
conditions.
7. The winner will be
drawn at random by an independent third party from all valid entries received
by the stated closing date. The Promoter reserves the right at its sole
discretion to disqualify any individual found to be attempting to tamper with
the operation of the promotion, setting up multiple accounts, aliases, using
multiple identities or to be acting in any manner deemed by the Promoter to be
in violation of the Terms and Conditions; or to be acting in any manner deemed
by the Promoter to be disruptive. Entries (bulk or otherwise) from trade,
agencies, third party or automated entries are not permitted and will be
disqualified.
8. The Promoter
reserves the right to remove any entrant from the prize draw whose social media
name or photo it deems to be offensive, or it believes may cause offence to
other participants.
9. Prize
draw closes at 23:59 on 14.03.25. Participation is via the method as outlined
above only. No postal or other entry
method is available.
10. The
prize draw will take place using an independently verified random computer
number generator within two (2)
standard working days of the promotion end date and the winner will be notified
via social media only. The winner will
be required to contact the Promoter via a Private Message to provide contact
details and to make arrangements for their prize. Whilst all reasonable steps[4] will
be taken to contact the winner, if this cannot be achieved within five (5)
working days and after three attempts, the Promoter reserves the right to
cancel the prize entitlement and award the prize to a reserve winner who will
be drawn at the same time as the original winner. If the reserve winner does
not respond within five (5) days of being notified and after three attempts,
the prize entitlement will be withdrawn, and the prize removed from the
promotion. On completion of the
validation process, arrangements will be made with the winners within five (5)
days of confirmation of a valid email address. Participants are encouraged to
check their email including Junk and Spam folders to ensure they receive and
respond to all necessary communications.
11. The Promoter and
their agents reserve the right, but not the obligation, to monitor and review
the content submitted, and to remove or refuse to take forward as an entry any
content submitted that the Promoter does not deem, in its sole discretion, to
be appropriate, or which the Promoter deems to violate any of these Terms and
Conditions.
12. Anyone, who in the
Promoter’s absolute discretion, is acting in a manner that undermines the
operation and integrity of the promotion or in any way that gives an unfair
advantage, will be disqualified and any persons seeking to use such information
gained will be disqualified.
13. All entries will be
strictly monitored by the Promoter and their third-party adjudicators
throughout and any attempts to manipulate or otherwise unfairly influence the
prize draw will result in disqualification of entry or suspension of the
promotion.
14. The Promoter
reserves the right to report any content violations to the appropriate
authorities.
15. The Promoter does
not guarantee that participants will have any recourse to edit or delete any
submitted content. Participants acknowledge that they, not the Promoter, are
responsible for the contents of their submission. None of the content that
entrants submit shall be subject to any obligation of confidence on the part of
the Promoter, its agents, subsidiaries, affiliates, or third-party service
providers and their respective directors, officers, and employees. The person
who uploaded the comment is the individual who is entered into the prize draw
and the entrant confirms that s/he has obtained any and all releases and
consents if relevant of third parties necessary to permit the submission for
the purposes of this prize draw in the manner set forth in these Terms and
Conditions without additional compensation.
The Prize:
16. The prize is as
outlined in Clause 5 above. No cash or other alternative will be available in
whole or part except in circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control. The
Promoter cannot be held responsible for any changes to the event, date or
venue, which is outside its control but will endeavour to manage arrangements
to avoid undue disappointment.
Winner Selection & Notification/Fulfilment:
18. There will be one
(1) winner selected at random by an independently audited computer programme
from all valid and suitable entries received via a post/comment on the official
social media pages by the closing date. The winner will be selected truly at random
across the valid social media platforms entries but checked to ensure the
correct criteria and standards are met.
19. The
winner will be contacted via a message under their original entry on the social
media pages on 14.03.25. This message will inform the winner to direct message
the Promoter by the end of 14.03.25 latest. Once the Promoter has received the
relevant direct message back, the winner will be contacted on 15.03.25, if not
prior, and will be required to complete a health questionnaire to ensure
suitability to take part in the event including providing contact information
and other relevant details as highlighted in the Terms and Conditions. This
form must be returned by the end of the day 14.03.25.
20. The health
questionnaire will include information requesting medical conditions that may
need to be confirmed by a doctor, plus general fitness, and well-being to
ensure the winner and their running partner can take part in the event.
21. Inaccurate
information may result in the prize being forfeited. In the event any winner
does not respond to communications within the three (3) days of initial
contact, or is disqualified after verification checks, the Promoter reserves
the right to forfeit and withhold the prize from this potential winner and
allocate that prize to an alternative winner selected next in line as a reserve
at the same time as the original winners. Any reserves will be contacted in the
timely manner and best endeavours will be actioned to work as close to the
initial timing schedule.
22. On
completion of the validation process, to ensure all winners meet the correct
protocols, the Promotor will need to provide the winning participant’s name and
email address to the Surrey Half Marathon organisers which will generate an
email for the winning participant. This needs to be actioned within strict
timelines. The winners’ email is expected to be received by 15.03.25 or shortly
afterwards[5] if a
reserve. The email will include a link which the participant MUST use to
complete their entry and provide the event organisers with all the information
they require for event day.
N.B.
The participant must complete the process by 15.03.25. Providing just their
name and email address will not be sufficient.
23. This is the official
way of verifying the winners’ places in the event. All details should be
available via the Surrey Half Marathon organisers, but if the winner has any
concerns, they can contact Riverside Shopping Centre.
General
24. The Promoter
reserves the right to withdraw or amend this promotion in the event of any
unforeseen circumstances outside its reasonable control but will use all
reasonable endeavours to minimise the effect to participants to avoid undue
disappointment.
25. In the event of
circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Promoter, or otherwise
where fraud, abuse, and/or an error (human or computer) affects or could affect
the proper operation of this promotion, and only where circumstances make this
unavoidable, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion
or these Terms and Conditions, at any stage, but will always endeavour to
minimize the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
26. The Promotion and
these Terms and Conditions will be governed by the laws of the participating
country and any disputes as to the meaning of these Terms and Conditions will
be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the participant’s local courts.
27. The Promoter and its
associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including,
without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of
profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not
arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this promotion or
accepting or using the prizes, except for any liability which cannot be
excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that
liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
28. Promoter reserves
the right to verify the winner and to refuse to award the prize or withdraw
prize entitlement where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been
a breach of these Terms and Conditions, or any instructions forming part of
this promotion’s entry requirements, or otherwise where a participant has
gained an unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won using
fraudulent means.
29. By taking part in
the promotion, the winners agree that the Promoter may contact them to ask
whether they want to participate in marketing activities/PR relating to this
promotion only. Such publicity may include, without limitation, the entrants’
name and/or if consent given, image or statements made by entrants concerning
the promotion and/or prize obtained as part of the promotion. The winner(s) are
not obliged to agree to any such requests.
30. Data Protection: The
Promoter will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of
the promotion and the auditing of the entries where necessary and for no other
purpose, unless we have your consent and you have opted-in to receive future
marketing communications or prize PR. As part of this promotion, if you are not
opted-in into our general marketing email, you may still receive
emails/messages for this promotion only to let you know if you have won and to
make arrangements for your prize delivery. The surnames and counties of the
verified winners will be made available as set out in the paragraph above and
the winner(s) can object to this by emailing: abigail@key-lime.co.uk.
Otherwise, your personal details will at all times be kept confidential, and in
accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Click here for
the Promoter’s Privacy Policy. You can request access to your personal data, or
have any inaccuracies rectified, or request deletion of data by sending an email
to: abigail@key-lime.co.uk . By participating in the promotion, you agree to
the use of your personal data as described here. You can withdraw your consent
at any time. For the purpose of this promotion, requests to delete personal
data can only be actioned after the promotion has concluded and the winner(s)
accepted their prize. Any data obtained via this promotion will be deleted
after three (3) months of the promotional end date with the exception of the
winner(s) and reserve(s) whose data will be deleted after fulfilment of the
prize.
31. No responsibility
can be accepted for any entries that cannot be made, are incomplete, corrupted,
delayed or are not received for any reason whatsoever. The Promoter cannot
assume any responsibility or liability for:
• Any faulty or
failed electronic data transmissions.
• Communications line
failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, networks, lines,
satellites, servers, computers or providers used in any aspect of the
promotion.
• Any unauthorised
access to the operation of this promotion.
• Inaccessibility or
unavailability of the internet or Instagram or Facebook, or any combination
thereof.
32. All normal Internet connection charges associated with the
submission of an entry to the promotion shall be the entrant’s responsibility.
33. This promotion is in
no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Instagram or
Facebook. Entrants accept and understand that they are providing their
information to the Promoter, and that Instagram/Facebook have no liability for
any element of this promotion. Furthermore, any questions, comments, or
complaints regarding the promotion will be directed to the Promoter only.
34. Any person posting,
or seen to be posting, comments to the participating social media pages, or
elsewhere during the promotion that are considered bullying, spiteful or
upsetting to other participants, fans of participating brand, or directly aimed
at the Promoter, will have their comments removed and will be disqualified from
the promotion. The Promoter reserves the right to alert the relevant
platform(s) to any such behaviour, which may result in the person’s account(s)
being frozen pending investigation.
35. Privacy Policy
As the promotion is run using Instagram and Facebook, their privacy
policies will also apply. See above for the Promoter’s Privacy policy.
36. To ensure fairness and the integrity of the promotion to all
participants, the Promoter will not enter into discussions regarding the
running of this promotion via social media but will respond to questions via
abigail@key-liem.co.uk
37. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal,
invalid, or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from
these Terms and Conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain
in full force and effect.
38. If, for any reason,
any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by
reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering,
unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond
the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration,
security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter
may in its sole discretion modify or suspend the promotion or invalidate any
affected entries. If an act, omission, event, or circumstance occurs which is
beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter
from complying with these Terms and Conditions the Promoter will not be liable
for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation but will
always endeavour to minimise the effect to participants in order to avoid undue
disappointment.
